When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected stunning reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's itinerary: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart leaped. This was more than a typical dive; this was journey into history.

Honestly, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were absolutely professional. The Divemasters provided a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what to expect down there. The fact we were in a small group immediately made me feel confident.

Going down was magical. First, it was just a dark shape in the blue, and then it came into view. It is enormous. It's now a bustling artificial reef, covered in soft corals and swarming with fish. I spotted giant groupers hiding from inside the hull, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the superstructure. The feeling of gliding alongside this giant, silent vessel is hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a time capsule on the seabed.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and seeking an adventure beyond the standard reef, I cannot urge you this **dive** highly enough.
